The Nets walk off the court without shaking hands? (and before the game ends...)

The Nets have decided to be bad sports, and since they get killed every night, to walk off without shaking hands.  Silly, but losers are as losers do.  Plus, since they get no coverage from the media (Garnett finally talked to media last night after blowing them off seven straight games.  Melo, in his first season in NY was called out after failing to talk to media after a bad loss.  In total, Carmelo has blown off media TWICE in his time in NY.  (You'd be hard pressed to find a Nets started outside Lopez that could say that about a given week.)

So, it led to this funny scene, where the Nets in their rush to get to the airport and to be bad sports, rushing off the court before the game ended.  Yes, the buzzer blew but normally you don't run away at that point like it signified a timer on a bomb.

My favorite part is Jason Kidd counting players.  Let's see, that's one, two...

Can you imagine if the Knicks did this?  Carmelo called someone a donut and got media coverage, the Nets left the court before the game ended and silence.  Very fair coverage.

Knicks, Nets and the Putrid state of NYC Basketball....

Let's set the setting that a lot of my rantings will be based on this year.  The Knicks (My Team) and the Nets (apparently no one's team if they are losing).  When the Nets moved to Brooklyn, there were posters everywhere (I love in Brooklyn).  THE NETS ARE TAKING OVER.
YOU WANT TO BE A COACH? YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T FIRE YOURSELF RIGHT?

Well, in a way they did.  In a short three years they have a worse cap situation, a more dysfunctional team, a higher payroll and less draft picks than the Knicks.  Not even content with that, the ridiculous way the Knicks address the media, also copied.  (Rule #25: Never give an accurate timetable about an injury and Rule #26: Say something to make people more worried than they should be.)

I'll refer to the rules from time to time, they are the rules for dysfunctional NYC basketball teams.  Apparently it's mandatory to use them as the Nets have been infected with our disease.

Think about this.  The Knicks, capped out after rolling the dice on Carmelo.  The Nets with tons of players and assets managed to create a worse team with even less assets to trade remaining.
THE GODFATHER, IF YOU MEAN THAT TERM IN A DEROGATORY WAY.

What's even worse is our shitty owner has decided Prokorov looks good issuing edicts and such (never mind that the Nets get 1/10th the coverage of the Knicks) so he does too.  And they are stupid and don't help.

Basically the Knicks suck, the Nets suck.  How and why we got here and where we go from here is something I will discuss in earnest over the coming months/however long till I get bored.
